Six Playwrights! Six Directors! And only 24 hours to create six new plays for 21 actors!
Crazy chaos. Yes! Perpetual pandemonium. Yes! Fabulously Fun! Absolutely!
Join the Cary Playwrights’ Forum as we prepare for our 24 Hour Play Festival…the first ever in the Triangle!
We are looking for playwrights, directors, stage managers, actors and technicians to take part in the writing, staging, rehearsing and performing of six ten-minute plays.
The Play Festival will begin at 10:00 pm on Friday evening, January 24th, at the North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theater. At that time playwrights will select their actors and get to work. The plays will be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes. On Saturday morning, the groups will read the finished scripts. The stage managers and technicians will join the directors and actors for daylong rehearsals.
The Public Performance of all plays will take place on Saturday, January 25th at 8:00 p.m. at the North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theater with a reception to follow.
