The Cary Playwrights’ Forum is seeking playwrights and performers for the return of our annual monologue-writing competition! But this time, our event will be LIVE and IN PERSON!
Deadline for submissions is February 6th for both playwrights and performers!

Event Info
- February 28th at Fortnight Brewing Company in Cary
- $150 grand prize awarded to the top writing/acting team, as selected by a panel of judges
- The producers will pair up 7 playwrights with 7 actors
- Each pair will have one week to write, rehearse, memorize, and perform a brand-new monologue!
- Monologue prompts are a mystery until the Facebook Live event on February 22nd!

Hey, Elizabeth! When the playwrights and performers are selected, they will be paired off into teams of two (one playwright and one performer). Each team will decide their own rehearsal schedule. It’s expected that weekday rehearsals will be scheduled in the evenings, but that is not required. If you need to figure out a rehearsal time for a morning or afternoon, that should be discussed with your partner.
