2023 NC Audio Play Festival
Voice actors!
We are now accepting auditions for the 2023 North Carolina Audio Play Festival! This is meant to be a fun, low-stress opportunity to collaborate in the creative process. As such, if you are cast as a voice actor, the commitment is just 1-2 virtual rehearsals in early July, and then recording and submitting your character’s dialogue for a 10-minute audio play. The creative team will share some tips for best recording practices to help prevent the need for any re-recording.
Audition Sides
Audition sides can be found below. Recordings should be made in the best-available location to reduce background noise and echo. If you have access to a high-quality microphone, that’s great – but if not, you can download a FREE voice recorder app and record on your smartphone. Set recording setting to 44 kHz or higher. Save as an mp3 or wav file.
This is an all-volunteer community theatre festival, so recordings made with “less-than-ideal” audio quality will not necessarily exclude you from participation.
